Mpanda Mining Operations
The Mpanda mining area offers significant potential, with both copper and gold deposits identified. In the DRC, BTX collaborates with a local partner in the extraction and processing of copper ores. The operation currently produces copper concentrate at a capacity of 750 metric tons per month. Future plans include expanding the existing plant to begin producing copper cathodes, which will significantly increase production capacity and value.
The local partner operates three licensed mining sites, ensuring a consistent supply of copper ores for both current and future production needs. This strategic partnership allows BTX to leverage local expertise while expanding its footprint in one of the world’s most resource-rich regions.
